About SUPLA
SUPLA is an open source smart home platform developed in Poland. It combines open software, ready-made infrastructure, and a community of users, developers, and device manufacturers.
SUPLA enables the control, monitoring, and automation of smart home devices. The platform includes device software, mobile apps, server infrastructure, and tools for creating custom devices and integrations.
SUPLA is a platform, not a hardware manufacturer or an online store. Ready-made devices that work with SUPLA are offered by independent manufacturers and distributors. You can find compatible models in the official device catalog.
The project was initiated by AC SOFTWARE Sp. z o.o., based in Paczków, Poland. SUPLA software was publicly released on January 16, 2016. The platform's main components are developed by a core team of programmers with more than 20 years of software engineering experience, while the source code of its key components is publicly available.
Users, developers, and device manufacturers all take part in SUPLA's development. The community reports needs and issues, tests new solutions, creates its own projects, and contributes to the open source code.
Manufacturers can use SUPLA as the foundation for their own devices and products without having to build an entire smart home platform from scratch. SUPLA is used both in individual projects and in commercially available devices.
