SUPLA turns 10 today!
When we launched the project on January 16, 2016, we never expected that after a decade it would become the most popular Polish Wi-Fi smart home system.
At the beginning, we dreamed of reaching 1,000. It never crossed our minds that after 10 years SUPLA would have more than 314,000 user accounts across 90 countries.
We started with a single server. Today there are 159 of them, plus a dozen or so backend servers. The number of ready-made devices available in stores was 0. Today, our partners offer more than 70 different models. Back then, there were only two DIY examples. Today, they are too numerous to count.
The amount of data stored in the SUPLA cloud, initially measured in hundreds of records, has grown to billions.
It is thanks to you, the community of enthusiasts, users, and developers, people who love to build, create, improve, and share with others, that we were able to create something truly special together. We know everyone has put a piece of their heart into SUPLA. Thank you warmly for these 10 years.
To mark the occasion, we have also prepared a prize contest. To take part, simply complete the survey and upload your contest photo in the final question. We kindly ask for honest answers. Only the item clearly marked in the survey as Contest task is taken into account in the competition.
The prizes are funded by ZAMEL, AURATON, and HPD. The prize pool includes 46 devices, including two sets, which means 38 prizes for 38 people. The detailed list of models is available in the contest form.
